Donald Trump introduced Nicki Minaj at a White House event in a very personal way. The president’s remarks about the rapper during a Rose Garden luncheon quickly shifted from political praise to unique compliments.
Donald Trump gushes over Nicki Minaj, calls her ‘hot’
President Donald Trump praised rapper Nicki Minaj during a White House Rose Garden luncheon on Monday, according to The Daily Beast. The 80-year-old president described the 43-year-old rapper in glowing terms during his remarks at the event.
“We also have a woman that is so respected and so hot and so great, and such a great friend of — I don’t say conservative, I say of common sense,” Trump said. He added that Minaj is “not conservative or liberal or as they say now ‘progressive.'”
Trump then briefly shifted to a rant about Democratic socialists and communism before returning to praise Minaj. “She’s a fantastic person and she’s a woman that’s respected by everybody,” he said. He also highlighted her talent, asking her to stand for recognition.
Minaj subsequently posted photos and videos from the visit on social media. One image showed her posing beside Trump’s “Presidential Walk of Fame” installation. She also shared a photo with a grinning Trump taken inside the Oval Office.
“Whoa!!!! #WhiteHouseBarbie with her favorite President of all time,” Minaj wrote alongside the post. The Trinidad and Tobago-born rapper has repeatedly expressed strong support for Trump and the MAGA movement.
Trump’s fixation on Minaj’s appearance is not new. During a Black History Month address in February, he brought up her earlier January visit unprompted. “I love Nicki Minaj. She was here a couple of weeks ago. She’s so beautiful. Her skin’s so beautiful,” he said at the time.
Minaj first visited the White House in January for the launch of Trump Accounts, a savings initiative for newborns. Trump called her the “Queen of Rap” during a TikTok video at that event.
He also gifted her a gold Visa card that later turned out to be a “memento” rather than an official document.
