King Charles’ ‘Patience Snapped’ After Prince Harry’s Move — Insider

King Charles’ patience reportedly “snapped” after Prince Harry’s wavering actions over his UK visit. The Duke of Sussex’s latest trip to Britain has led to a rare clash of narratives. Buckingham Palace and its team are offering conflicting accounts of talks over a lodging offer from King Charles.

Prince Harry says he accepted King Charles’ offer, while palace sources say he missed the deadline

Prince Harry has arrived in the UK for a five-day trip to London and Birmingham. However, he traveled without Meghan Markle, Archie, and Lilibet.

The Duke of Sussex kicks off his week today, on July 7, with an Invictus Games event in London. He touched down just hours after his offer to stay at Buckingham Palace was withdrawn, per the Daily Express.

According to an insider, the King lost his patience after Prince Harry repeatedly went back on plans for Palace accommodation. Following weeks of delay and reversals, along with ongoing leaks and briefings from Team Sussex, His Majesty reached a breaking point. It wasn’t the personal humiliation of their private problems playing out in public that led him to shut down his younger son. One source told the Daily Mail that it stemmed from “disruption and disrespect” toward Palace staff.

Even so, Buckingham Palace had arranged rooms for Prince Harry before his UK arrival and reshuffled staff to be available for him. But after the team was stood down again Saturday morning due to yet another rejection from his son, King Charles was stunned to receive another request hours later asking ‘Pa’ if the rooms could be reinstated.

On Monday, July 6, Prince Harry’s spokesperson claimed that the Palace had withdrawn its offer for him to stay there during his UK visit, even though he’d accepted. Palace sources, however, revealed that the Duke of Sussex didn’t reply by the deadline. They shared that his later request to accept came after it was no longer possible to arrange.

The response, which reportedly went straight to Prince Harry, was a firm, “No. Sorry but you are too late.”
