Trump recently boarded Air Force One from Turkey to England, and later boarded a Boeing 747, which was allegedly a gift from Qatar. The switch from one aircraft to another has raised concerns online, according to TMZ.
Since the clip surfaced, many online users called him out on the alleged gift. One user said, “The new Air Force One will be used for many years by subsequent POTUSs. Again: Democrats are pathetic! President Trump doesn’t even keep his salary; he donates it to charity. Democrats worship money and power.” Another user said, “What was the difference of taking it from Turkey or the UK?” An X user commented, “The foreign gifted plane doesn’t have defense or refueling capability. How much was spent on it, Eric?”
Soon after the outrage, POTUS posted on his Truth Social, sharing the new plane. He wrote, “We just landed and met up with our new Air Force One, which was sent earlier to RAF Mildenhall, so we could show the wonderful Servicemembers, as per the entire Base’s request. They were very excited, picture enclosed. It was on our way back to the States from Turkey, with virtually no deviation from the flightpath. President DONALD J. TRUMP.”
Reportedly, POTUS was asked to change the aircraft by the Secret Service over security concerns. Addressing the switch when asked by the reporter, He said, “We sent one a little early so that the base can see the plane; it was in the same line.” He also mentioned the picture he shared on Truth Social.
Despite the stated security concerns, online users continue to speculate about the switch to the alleged gift from Qatar.
