According to the Daily Mail, Crescendo said the former Paradiso Girls members had recently discussed releasing the group’s unreleased debut album. She said Bennett was excited to return to music. Now, Crescendo hopes to complete the project in Bennett’s memory. She said the group owes that tribute to their late friend.

Crescendo told the outlet that she met Bennett in 2005 after they both moved to Los Angeles. She said their friendship became very close and that she felt like Bennett’s older sister. The pair stayed in touch even after Paradiso Girls disbanded in 2010. They remained friends after Bennett joined G.R.L. in 2014.

Crescendo plans to re-record the unfinished songs while preserving Bennett’s original vocals on the album. She said Bennett had been looking forward to returning to Los Angeles for the project. Crescendo also recalled that the former band members met regularly during the last few months before Bennett’s death. She later learned of Bennett’s passing from Robin Antin.

Bennett died on May 29 in Kent, England, at the age of 36. A formal inquest has been scheduled for Oct. 30. Her former G.R.L. bandmates shared a public tribute, remembering her love, laughter, and kindness. Bennett is also survived by her 6-year-old daughter, Harlow.

Officials have not announced a cause of death. Some outlets have stated that police are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death. However, the coroner has not confirmed those claims. Bennett’s father also said she had experienced a severe reaction to prescribed medication in the months before her death.
