“Teen Wolf” actor Dylan Sprayberry has surprised fans by revealing that he has been a Scientologist for the past three years.
In a video shared on Instagram, the actor confessed that he had turned to Scientology to find solutions for his longstanding mental health troubles.

According to US Magazine, the actor admitted that he has been a Scientologist for three years and described his experience as “fantastic.”
The 28-year-old said that his search for answers began early in his sobriety journey as he realized that his anxiety and depression had led him to substance abuse and were still harming him. He said, “I was having this feeling where I’m really proud of myself, and I do feel the difference of being off of drugs,” adding, “OK, well, the reason why I got on drugs in the first place was because when I was a teenager, I was experiencing tons of anxiety and depression.”
It was at this juncture in his life that he met “some amazing Scientologists” and did their “purification rundown,” designed as a detox program, “that gets drugs and toxins out of your body for good”. As an outdoorsy person, he found the program involving running and sauna treatments much to his liking.
Social media quickly caught on to the actor’s life story and started commenting. One user was sceptical and wrote, “I think a therapist would’ve been the better option…,” while another quipped, saying, “WOAH DYLAN! I didn’t know this part of your story, very cool man.” A third person, however, lamented his decision, writing, “To be honest, I’m proud of you that you are clean now. But I’m sad too because you joined Scientology…”
He concluded, saying, “I just wanted to share that with you guys, because it’s been such a special experience for me,” adding, “I’ve gotten to get myself in such a good place in life, and I’m doing genuinely fantastic.”
The actor and his wife, Pruette Karl, are also expecting their first child, a milestone he shared while reflecting on this new chapter in his life.
