Donald Trump’s Daughter-in-Law Reacts to Reported Iran Plot Against Him

Fresh claims about a threat against Donald Trump have drawn new attention. A family member says living with such dangers has become part of everyday life. The latest discussion follows reports that Israel shared intelligence with the United States about an alleged Iranian plot targeting the president.

Lara Trump discussed how her family copes with constant threats

Appearing on Fox‘s America’s Newsroom on Friday, July 10, Lara Trump addressed the reported intelligence and said threats against her father-in-law no longer come as a surprise. “This is kind of commonplace now,” she said, adding that Donald Trump has been targeted many times. She also claimed Iran viewed him as a leader who would seriously enforce his stance against the country obtaining a nuclear weapon.

Lara pointed to similar concerns during the 2024 presidential campaign. She said the family had to take extensive precautions because Iran had allegedly been targeting Trump even before the election ended.

She also singled out Operation Midnight Hammer, arguing that Tehran understood Trump would follow through on his policies if he returned to office. “Obviously, we saw Operation Midnight Hammer last year. We’re in the midst of it right now, but I think they know that he’s the one person that they should be scared of,” Lara shared.

Fresh questions emerged after The Wall Street Journal reported on July 9 that Israeli intelligence had informed U.S. officials about an alleged new Iranian plot targeting Trump. The report said the threat is believed to be linked to Iran’s long-running vow to avenge the 2020 U.S. airstrike that killed Revolutionary Guard commander Gen. Qassem Soleimani.

Speaking to reporters earlier in the week, Trump said Iran wanted to “take out the U.S. leader — me,” adding that he believed he was “on every single one of their lists.” He also called those allegedly behind the threats “evil, sick people” and argued they needed to be stopped before the situation became even more dangerous.
