When things started escalating once again for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul, fans wondered where the rest of MomTok stood on the drama. It looks like they are getting an answer, as several cast members have officially cut social media ties with the beleaguered star.
Why Miranda Hope, Layla Taylor and other MomTok stars hit unfollow this week
When folks get curious about friendships, there is no need to look beyond social media. Once the unfollows hit, that’s when you know there is trouble in paradise. This has happened to several Housewives, and now it looks like it’s finally hitting the MomTok group too.
Fans noticed a wave of unfollows from the SLOMW cast, speculating there may be fractures happening behind the scenes. And the timing doesn’t seem like a coincidence, considering Taylor’s recent struggles with her exes and rehab.
It’s important to note, however, that Taylor was the first to unfollow the women long before they just returned the favor. Taylor is still following Demi Engemann and her ally and bestie Jessi Draper. Jessi recently showed Taylor some IG love. She commented on Taylor’s rehab post, saying it was “always darkest before the dawn.”
Now Miranda Hope and Layla Taylor have hit unfollow on Taylor, and they addressed the reason openly on a social media post about their recent IG unfollow (check the comments!). Layla was honest and said she unfollowed despite following Taylor long after Taylor unfollowed her. Miranda added the same and explained that it “didn’t make sense to keep investing in something one-sided.”
Those social media breakups seemed amicable enough considering Taylor is also in the middle of an online feud with SLOMW alum Whitney Leavitt. She recently called her out for unfollowing her and alleged that Whitney has been “waiting for her downfall since day one.”
This latest move makes fans wonder if any type of reconciliation is even possible for the group moving forward. Taylor was confirmed to have filmed opening credits for the current season of SLOMW but nothing else. So fans won’t see any of this drama playing out.
For now, it looks like their social media friendships are over.
