Tia Mowry and ex-husband Cory Hardrict may have moved on from their marriage, but their divorce agreement includes a built-in rule to protect their kids from the harsh realities of divorce. In a fresh custody agreement, as TMC learned, Tia and Cory have included very specific ground rules regarding showing up at each other’s homes.
Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict settle rules for visiting each other’s homes
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the “Sister Sister” star and her ex-husband have agreed that neither will go to the other’s place unless they’re invited or it’s for an already agreed-upon custody exchange. This clause is said to be put in to protect their kids from any unannounced drop-ins as the exes continue navigating co-parenting duties.
The new deal also lays out that Tia has agreed to let Cory spend time with the children during her custodial time. As per the agreement, Tia has agreed to let Cory hang out with the kids while they’re in her care, but that time must be “spent with both minor children,” excluding certain circumstances that would prevent it. Additionally, Cory has agreed to have the kids back to Tia by 9 p.m. whenever he’s the one dropping them off.
The updated terms of the divorce agreement have been added to the custody framework that the former couple established years ago. In a previous clause, they agreed not to introduce any future significant others to their kids before they’ve reached a six-month point in their respective relationships.
Tia filed for divorce from Cory back in October 2022, citing “irreconcilable differences” after 14 years of marriage. The two officially settled their split in 2023, agreeing to share joint legal and physical custody of their children: son Cree and daughter Cairo.
