Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might plan more UK trips, royal expert predicts
As per royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle intend to visit the UK more often as their star power has diminished in Hollywood. For those unversed, Harry visited Britain to honor his commitment to the one-year countdown to next year’s Invictus Games, scheduled for Birmingham.
Notably, Markle and the couple’s children, Archie and Lilibet, couldn’t join Harry due to security concerns. However, they flew into Britain later on in the week and met King Charles (via Express.co.UK).
Previously, the Daily Mail reported that the Sussexes are considering moving back to the UK. Possibly permanently, after their American dream reportedly failed to materialize.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams shared that although Harry suffered a major personal setback after losing a privacy lawsuit against the Daily Mail, his morale seems to have been boosted by securing a private meeting with the King. Not only that, but he kept his promise to his children by arranging for them to meet their grandfather.
Fitzwilliams said: “He will undoubtedly plan more visits, and it will have been noted by the Palace that they have kept silent subsequently, as was undoubtedly agreed. The plan will probably be to repeat this. We lack details as to when and where, but the Sussexes’ media supporters are active in looking forward. The hope will be that accommodation will be arranged for future trips and that an arrangement of some sort will be made regarding security.”
Moreover, the commentator explained that their personal and professional ventures have reportedly flopped, and that the couple was unable to achieve fame and fortune as they envisioned.
The royal commentator shared: “They aren’t bright or talented. They are undoubtedly looking back to Britain as they are not A-listers in Hollywood.”
