Summer House alum Luke Gulbranson is running for the U.S. Congress.
Hoping to oust Republican Minnesota Representative Pete Stauber, Luke’s campaign donations might not be as big as his opponent’s. However, he has some familiar names donating to his race.
While limited polling information is available at this time, the best indication of his chances in the Democratic primary are reflected by his fund-raising.
The former Summer House star is hoping to oust Republican Pete Stauber

Announcing his Congressional bid in April, the Winter House alum has focused his campaign around protecting Medicare, Social Security and affordable healthcare. In addition, he’s pledged to protect union jobs.
The licensed real estate agent is running in Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District, in the northeastern part of the state. Though the district has shifted Republican in recent years, the area is historically associated with Democratic values. The main concerns in the area are mining and organized labor.
When the first-time candidate announced his entry into the August 11 primary, the press focused his reality TV background. But Luke is emphasizing his roots in the area, having grown up in a family that depended on public assistance.
“I genuinely want to help people because I know that struggle,” he told Newsweek back in May. “When you don’t have much growing up, you don’t need much as an adult either. You just need the basics, your health, the things that really matter.”
Among Luke’s campaign donors are several of his Summer House co-stars. According to Federal Election Commission records, Kyle Cooke gave his former housemate $500, while Carl Radke kicked in $1500. Lindsay Hubbard, whose daughter Gemma calls him Uncle Luke, donated $3500 to his campaign. Summer House Season 9 alum Imrul Hassan also donated $250, while Vanderpump Rules alum Scheana Shay added $250 to Luke’s war chest.
Despite his reality TV past, political pundits don’t hold out much hope of Luke’s conquering the crowded Democratic field. Too bad his former housemates can’t vote for him.
Summer House and Winter House are both streaming on Peacock.
