Alli Dore brushed off criticism, saying her body isn’t up for public approval
On July 28, Dore shared photos of her body on Instagram following her “rib recontouring” procedure. The 38-year-old TV personality, who flew to Bali for the surgery, also posted a picture of her back and shared that she is now halfway through her recovery journey. The caption read, “Just under halfway at 5.5 weeks out of 12 and already convinced this is the best thing I’ve done.”
While Dore was thrilled with the results of her procedure, her followers’ response was mixed. Several critics shared their opinions in the comments, questioning her decision to undergo the treatment.
One of them wrote, “Why why why?? Looked better before.” Another commented, “Girl, what did you do to your ribs? Your skeletal structure? I’m so confused. You had mad surgery to make your waist smaller? Why? I’m so confused. Why would you alter your bone structure? To be smaller? Stop advertising this kind of surgery to young women and men. It’s not normal.”

She also addressed a follower who commented that her body did not look “normal”. In response, as stated by People, Dore emphasized that her own opinion is the one that matters, writing, “Guess who the only opinion that matters when it’s my body? Mine. Shocking, I know.”
On June 26, Dore shared a video before her rib recontouring procedure, saying she wanted to achieve her “perfect body” after becoming a mother in 2021. Dore said she believes people should make choices that help them feel good about themselves. She expressed, “Having a baby, it just changes your body so much, and your whole life you make so many sacrifices as a mother. And to sacrifice my body as well, I’ve given up everything.” Dore acknowledged that she had made some changes to her body, saying there was “nothing to be ashamed of.”
