A$AP Rocky shared how he and Rihanna prioritize family life while managing their professional responsibilities. The 37-year-old rapper said that raising their children involves support from others. The couple shares three children: sons RZA and Riot, along with their daughter, Rocki.
A$AP Rocky revealed Rihanna and he rely on nannies and family support while raising their children
During his appearance on The Jason Lee Show on August 5, he discussed how he and Rihanna balance raising their children despite their demanding work commitments. The performer, who found his breakthrough with Peso in 2011, said they receive significant support from their nannies and mothers. “I’d be lying if I told you we don’t got help. We got a lot of help. You know, you need that,” he said.
The Grammy-nominated rapper said, “Some people unfortunately don’t got that kind of help or support.” He continued by saying, “I know as a dad, as a present dad, how much I just want the best for my kids, and I want to be present. But, I’m a hardworking man, you know what I’m saying? And when I’m not at home, I just need to know that my kids are being looked after and loved.”
The father spoke about his gentle bond with his children. He explained that RZA was his first child and that by the time Riot was born, he naturally learned to love both children equally. He said their dynamic felt like that of an older and younger brother. However, when Rocki was born, he realized parenting a daughter required a different approach.
He said, “I’m really sensitive with my kids and really gentle with them, but like with her, I was ultra, ultra gentle. She turned out being the toughest, more than her brothers. She’ll like grab your nose, squeeze it, [and] she takes my braids, yanks it. I’ll be like, ‘Damn, girl. Why you beating up daddy for?'” Rocky added that he does not favor one child over another, noting that each has a distinct personality he loves.
A$AP Rocky, born Rakim Mayers, went public with Rihanna in November 2020. Speaking to the outlet at the 2025 Gotham Awards, the rapper said Rihanna’s support “means everything” to him. “Family support is just … spousal support, everything,” he said.
Despite speculation, the couple has not confirmed they are legally wed. However, during an interview with The Perfect Magazine in October 2025, the rapper referred to himself as a father. Being a father, a partner, and a loving husband in my family is what makes me really, really happy.”
