Sean “Diddy” Combs has lost ownership of cash and electronics that federal agents seized during the investigation that led to his criminal case. A federal judge issued a new order transferring the property to the U.S. government. The ruling follows the required legal process after no one challenged the forfeiture.
Latest Ruling Transfers Diddy’s Seized Electronics and Cash to Federal Authorities
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Judge Arun Subramanian signed the forfeiture order on Tuesday. The judge oversaw Diddy’s federal criminal trial before issuing the latest ruling. The order allows federal authorities to take possession of the listed property. It also gives the government authority to sell the items under federal regulations.
The court documents reference several electronic devices seized in the case. The property includes multiple iPhones, iPads and hard drives. The order also covers $9,000 in cash recovered from the Park Hyatt Hotel on Sept. 16, 2024. Federal agents arrested Diddy at the hotel that same day.
The court filing states that no one filed a claim within 30 days after officials posted the public notice. As a result, the judge approved the government’s request. The ruling officially transfers ownership of the property to federal authorities and concludes the forfeiture proceedings for the listed items.
In 2024, federal agents raided Diddy’s homes and later arrested him on federal charges. He was subsequently convicted on two prostitution-related charges. Diddy is serving a federal prison sentence, with his release date set for Feb. 20, 2028, following a prison fight that reportedly led to his placement in a Special Housing Unit.
