Tucker Carlson targets Pete Hegseth as tensions rise over the Trump administration official
While speaking on The Tucker Carlson Show, he criticized Hegseth for supporting the Iran war. He said, “When you see your secretary of war jumping around like a deranged, bloodthirsty monkey calling for the murder of innocents and no one says anything about it, then you know we’ve taken a path that nobody can be proud of.”
Carlson said that the only reason a country has to go to war is when they have to defend themselves; that’s why it’s called the Department of Defense. He further added that if we can’t say we are defending ourselves, we are not doing decent.
Carlson said, “In the course of defending ourselves, if we murder people, and it is murder, who committed no crime, pose no threat to us, who are non-combatants, women, children, we’re going to apologize for it. We’re going to call it what it is, which is a crime against international law, but more important against decency.”
Carlson has aligned with Marjorie Taylor Greene, a former congresswoman. She wrote on her X account, “We said no more foreign wars, and we meant it and supported Donald Trump because he made that promise. But he’s betrayed us all. Our commitment is America First for all Americans, right, left, and center. The movement has begun.”
According to Radar Online, Pete Hegseth has responded. Hegseth said, “We’re busy executing on behalf of great patriotic Americans with a clear mission that’s 47 years overdue, and we’re gonna execute on that regardless of what people say about it.”
Tucker Carlson’s clash with the Trump administration continues to grow.
