In a rapid-fire Q&A with Gentleman’s Journal, Mapelli Mozzi rated spending time with family as his top priority. He acknowledged the value of staying grounded with family amid his busy career in luxury property development.
Asked to describe his perfect holiday, he replied, “Getting off the beaten track, disconnecting from emails and news, and spending time with my family.” He replied in the same vein when asked about his greatest luxury. “Experiences, travel and time with family,” he listed.
The businessman’s mind seems to wander to his family frequently. He chose “time with family and friends” as a reply to how he likes to rewind.
Elsewhere in the interview, Mapelli Mozzi named Lo Scoglio da Tommaso on Italy’s Amalfi Coast as his favourite restaurant. He also attributes his top hotel destination to Kisawa Sanctuary in Mozambique. He also revealed that a dirty martini is his drink of choice and praised Huntsman on Savile Row as his preferred menswear brand.
Mapelli reflected on his personal life and said a pair of cufflinks he got from his father was the best gift he has ever received. “I wear them and remember him,” he said. The tycoon also praised his mother as the person he most admires professionally. He also explained that his mother had a big impact and inspired him with her tireless work ethic while raising her children.
The interview comes amid renewed speculation about his relationship with his wife Princess Beatrice. Tabloids have claimed that the couple is spending more time apart due to their busy work schedules. However, this rare glimpse into his personal life establishes Mozzi as a simple individual who values family and friends above everything else.
