Famous American writer, director, and producer Ryan Murphy is widely known for creating hit and groundbreaking shows, including Glee and American Horror Story.
However, the 60-year-old creator has recently been making headlines regarding Glee, as he shared an update about a possible reboot of the beloved series.
Ryan Murphy Explains What a Glee Reboot Would Take
Recently, Ryan Murphy appeared in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, where he revealed that he is seriously considering a Glee reboot at this moment.
Ryan said, “It’s something to consider. For many, many people now in their 20s, they grew up on that show and it meant something to them. The music meant something. So, let’s kick it around and see what we get. It’s always about the story for me. What’s the story? Do I want to tell the story now? Sometimes I want to wait”
“I’m considering a lot of stuff. To me, it’s always about how the scripts come in and what it costs. You have to be conscious about all of that. But because I have such great partners, I’m able to create things that give thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of people jobs. We need to bring production back to LA,” Murphy added
Ryan Murphy has not shared any details about the potential reboot yet. This includes information about the return of original cast members, new casting, or other aspects of the project.
Glee first aired a preview episode in May 2009, while its official Season 1 premiere took place in September 2009. The show concluded in March 2015 after running for six seasons and a total of 121 episodes.
Cory Monteith, Mark Salling and Naya Rivera, who were among the main cast members of the series, have died.
