Aubrey Plaza has entered a new chapter as a first-time mom. The actress gave birth to her first child with actor Christopher Abbott in late July. The couple recently stepped out in New York City with their newborn daughter.

Sources with direct knowledge told TMZ that Plaza welcomed a baby girl during the last week of July. After viewing Abbott’s last performance in Death of a Salesman, Plaza was in New York City Sunday with her newborn. The baby was wrapped in a blanket and wore a small beanie. Plaza went with a high ponytail and black shades for the outing.
Plaza and Abbott now share their first child. Plaza’s pregnancy news surfaced in April, when representatives confirmed that she and Abbott were expecting their first baby. Then there were reports that the baby would arrive in the Fall. Plaza later made several public appearances with her growing baby bump.
The new arrival is also a personal milestone for Plaza following a challenging period. The birth comes after a difficult period for Plaza. She was previously married to filmmaker Jeff Baena, who died by suicide in January 2025 at 47. The couple had separated in 2024 after more than a decade together.
Aubrey and Christopher first worked together in 2020 in Black Bear, which premiered at Sundance. They reunited in 2023 for Danny and the Deep Blue Sea. Their dating rumors began in mid-2025, but neither has confirmed the relationship. Abbott recently finished his Broadway run in Death of a Salesman, with Plaza spotted outside the theater with their newborn.
