CNN’s Data Guru Has 2-Word Brutal Reaction to Donald Trump Jobs Poll Numbers

CNN data guru Harry Enten recently called out Donald Trump over the job approval poll numbers showing a huge decline. Although economists predicted a rise in job numbers, the numbers have gone down. The poll numbers have dropped ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, which will be held in November.

CNN data guru Harry Enten recently slammed Donald Trump over the poor job market numbers. According to a report by The Daily Beast, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported a loss of 23,000 jobs in July. These numbers were recorded after economists previously predicted an increase of 83,000 in the job market.

He stated that the numbers in the job market have “really taken a tumble” under Trump in his second term. Enten added, “My goodness gracious. Right now, President Trump, when it comes to jobs, is very much, dare I say, in the red.”

Enten also cited the Gallup poll, which showed that Americans’ confidence in the US economy has dropped to -38 from -27 in March. Additionally, the poll revealed that only 33 percent of respondents thought that it was a good time to search for a new job. On the other hand, 63 percent don’t consider it a good time to do job hunting. Although 40 percent of adults in the US found the economy in poor condition in March, that share has increased to 47 percent. In contrast, just 21 percent of respondents find the economy in good condition.

Commenting on these numbers, Enten said, “These numbers are absolutely awful.”

A White House spokesperson addressed the poll numbers and claimed that job growth has increased. He told the outlet, “The Trump industrial resurgence is on schedule. Manufacturing and factory construction jobs grew again in July even as government payrolls continued to significantly shrink. Unemployment claims are at record lows.”
