Romy Reiner’s latest acting role has a special connection to her late father, Rob Reiner. The actress appeared in the final episode of HBO’s new Larry David show, “Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness.” Romy played a nurse who cared for an ill President William Henry Harrison, played by Fred Melamed. Her appearance came weeks after Rob made his final screen appearance on the series.

Romy appeared in the episode “Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness,” which premiered on HBO Friday. Fred Melamed played President William Henry Harrison in the episode. Rob appeared in the second episode of the series, which aired July 3. He played George Washington in what became his final screen performance.
Romy’s appearance creates a notable connection to her father’s final screen role. While Rob played George Washington in the show’s second episode, Romy appeared in the finale as a nurse caring for President William Henry Harrison, played by Fred Melamed.
Her appearance also marks another connection to Larry David. She previously appeared on David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm in 2021, playing a cashier.
Rob and Michele Reiner were found dead at their Brentwood home in December. Their son, Nick Reiner, was later arrested and charged in connection with their deaths. He has pleaded not guilty.
Rob also had a daughter, Tracy Reiner, whom he adopted from his previous marriage to Penny Marshall. Since their parents’ deaths, the children have been trying to return to their normal lives. Most recently, Jake and Romy threw the first pitch at the Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Boston Red Sox game on Aug. 2. The siblings honored their father, who was a huge fan of baseball.
