Anne Hathaway is happily sharing details about her third pregnancy, but there is one thing she is refusing to reveal. During a new television appearance, the Oscar winner admitted she always feels a little guilty when one particular question comes up. Still, she has no plans to change her answer.

Hathaway made the revelation while appearing on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” alongside her The End of Oak Street co-star Ewan McGregor. Guest host Anthony Anderson jokingly predicted the couple was expecting another boy before asking whether they already knew the baby’s sex.
“We know, but we’re not saying,” Hathaway replied. As the audience applauded her decision, the actress admitted she always feels a little guilty when declining to answer. “Thank you for the support. It always feels so rude saying that,” she said, adding that she “feels bad” whenever she keeps the news private.
The actress also reflected on what has become one of the busiest years of her career. In addition to preparing for baby No. 3, Hathaway has starred in “Mother Mary,” “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” and “The Odyssey.” She will next appear in “The End of Oak Street,” which arrives August 14, followed by the Colleen Hoover adaptation “Verity” later this year.
Looking ahead, Hathaway said she feels fortunate to have so much happening at once. She described the moment as something she never imagined. She added that she is embracing every opportunity while creating lasting memories along the way.
The excitement extends beyond Hathaway and Shulman. The couple’s sons, Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6, are already counting down the days until they meet their new sibling. Hathaway said her children are “over the moon” and explained that it feels like the entire family is welcoming the baby together.
After attending “The End of Oak Street” premiere in a crop top that showcased her growing baby bump, some social media users questioned whether it looked real. Hathaway quickly shut down the rumors by posting a behind-the-scenes Instagram video captioned, “Fake hair, real bump.”
Hathaway first announced her pregnancy in June and previously joked that she and Shulman are calling baby No. 3 their “buzzer-beater.” She has continued to balance her growing family with a packed work schedule, making 2026 one of the busiest years of her career.
