Lara Trump explains why she wants women to start lifting weights
Lara Trump appeared on The Right View podcast, where she pushed back against the idea that women should avoid weightlifting. She explained why women should start weightlifting while addressing common misconceptions. She said, “I think people underestimate weightlifting. I think it’s one of the most important things you can possibly do. Unless you’re literally taking steroids, you are not going to bulk up as a woman.”
Lara further argued that women do not have the same physiological makeup as men when it comes to building muscle. She also mentioned the importance of muscle mass as women age, saying, “But the older we get, the more important muscle mass becomes. It doesn’t look good to have saggy skin. You gotta fill it out with a little bit of muscle.”
She encouraged women to start small if they do not want to commit to a full gym routine. Lara aimed at women with saggy skin and asked them to start weightlifting.
She also shared her travel routine, saying, “I travel weekly… and anyone who travels with me knows I am not… It doesn’t matter how much I’m bringing suitcase-wise, I’m taking the stairs. Everybody probably hates me for it who’s traveling with me, but they actually will end up thanking me.”
She also discussed the importance of nutrition during physical activity and praised the Trump administration for their nutrition initiatives, saying she is “excited” about it.
Lara also encouraged people to consider what they are eating, especially when they eat packaged food.
Her remarks highlight the importance of weightlifting, nutrition, and women’s health.
