Biographer Michael Wolff made a major revelation in his Substack newsletter, “Howl”. He disclosed that Jeffrey Epstein believed Donald Trump was running for President to maintain his fame.
Wolff shared the late convicted financier’s thoughts on Trump‘s presidential campaign. The biographer wrote, “Epstein knew that Trump’s star turn on The Apprentice was fading and that he urgently needed a new platform for the promotion of Donald Trump — indeed, he could talk of little else, how to avoid television’s fate: cancellation”. He also stated that Epstein believed Trump was not serious about taking up the role of the President of the country. Wolff added that his “main goal” was to kept being seen.
Wolff further stated that Epstein told him about Trump’s alleged fascination with previous Presidents. He conveyed that despite Epstein’s beliefs about Trump’s presidential bid, the financier was seemingly terrified about him winning. According to Wolff, Epstein told him, “You don’t understand, it’s Donald Trump. No shame. Do you understand how powerful that is?”
The White House also spoke to the Daily Beast regarding the claims mentioned above. They described them as “lazy and false.”
Opposing Wolff’s claims, the White House stated that Trump’s presidential bid was not an attempt to maintain his fame. They added, “After decades of watching politicians allow our country to be ripped off by foreign nations, millions of illegal aliens pour into our country, and endless wars, President Trump declared his candidacy because he loves America and wanted to make our country great again.”
