After multiple sexual assault allegations, Jared Leto is seemingly seeking help from his celebrity exes to vouch for him. A source close to the actor claimed he has put out the word to recruit support from the entertainment industry. They reported that he has “categorically” denied all claims against him.
Insiders claim Jared Leto wants Cameron Diaz and Scarlett Johansson to defend him
Afer the release of the documentary “Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret,” four women slam sexual assault allegations against the actor. Now, Leto has reportedly requested his ex-fiancée, Cameron Diaz, and former partner, Scarlett Johansson, to lend him support publicly.
“Jared is staying very defiant and insisting that none of these accusations are true, but obviously, this is very stressful for him,” the insider noted, as per Closer Online.
The source continued, “He’s desperate to try and put a stop to what he’s calling a ‘witch hunt.’.” They added, “He wants to defend himself, and he’s hoping that some of the people he’s dated will come out and say something to defend him. He dated Cameron for years, and Scarlett too, and he’s hoping they might speak out because it could really help him.”
They added, “He needs a Hail Mary at this point, which is why he’s putting the word out that he could really use some reassurance and high-profile support.” They stated that their involvement in the matter is unlikely. The source continued, “They’ve never said anything bad about him, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to put their own necks on the line.”
Notably, the BBC documentary released last month featured testimonies from 10 different women. They recorded their interaction with Leto between 2002 and 2016. Four women among them levied serious sexual assault allegations against Leto, forcing the actor to react to the controversy. “I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false,” the Academy Award winner said in response.
