Sean Combs is out of solitary confinement following his alleged prison brawl at FCI Fort Dix
According to TMZ, sources with direct knowledge said Combs is no longer being held in the restricted housing area at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. He was reportedly moved there after getting into an altercation with another inmate.
The alleged incident happened after the other inmate reportedly made disrespectful comments about Combs. Soon after that, the situation turned physical. The two men allegedly pushed each other and exchanged punches. However, prison staff quickly noticed the fight and stepped in before it could escalate further.
Following the incident, Combs was placed in solitary confinement while prison officials dealt with the situation. Sources previously told TMZ that the music mogul “held his own” during the altercation. Now, however, Combs has been moved out of solitary confinement. It is still not known whether he will face any additional punishment for the alleged fight.
Combs was arrested in late 2024 amid multiple civil lawsuits and a federal investigation into sex trafficking and racketeering. He went on trial in 2025 and was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. However, he was acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking charges.
In October 2025, he was sentenced to 50 months in prison. His federal release date is currently set for February 20, 2028.
Meanwhile, there are few official details about what happened inside the prison. The Federal Bureau of Prisons previously told TMZ that it does not discuss internal information or disciplinary matters involving individual inmates. The agency cited privacy, safety and security concerns when explaining why it could not comment on the reported incident.
