Marvel star Chris Evans has revealed that his priorities have shifted since becoming a father. Chris Evans and Portuguese actress Alba Baptista married in 2023. They welcomed their first child, daughter Alma Grace Baptista Evans, on Oct. 24, 2025.
Chris Evans revealed how fatherhood completely altered what he is willing to do
As seen in a clip shared on social media, Chris Evans said things are different now that he is a father. According to OK! Magazine, the actor said, “I have a daughter now and … you need a really good reason to want to go to work now. So, you know, priorities have shifted a bit.”
Following the birth of their daughter in 2025, a source told People, “They’re enjoying their privacy and these special first few days as a family with their baby.” Although the couple has been married since 2023, the source added that the arrival of their first child shows that things have “gotten serious.”
Another source said Chris and his wife are enjoying their privacy at his home in Massachusetts. They added, “They love the quiet life there, surrounded by nature and away from the spotlight. Previously, Evans also described proposing to his wife. The actor learned key words in Portuguese and said he was nervous throughout the week.
While embracing fatherhood, Evans is also preparing for his return to the big screen with Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday.
