Julie Chen Moonves weighed in on Angela cursing out Haley and Chuk’s cold snub.
Chen Moonves discussed Chuk’s eviction during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. She was asked about his decision to refuse LaLa’s hug. Chuk had just been evicted from the Big Brother house.
The longtime host called his reaction understandable but still immature. “Human, but a bit immature,” Chen Moonves said. She also believed the moment showed Chuk lacked awareness about the game.
The host suggested Chuk had misunderstood what was happening around him. She called his reaction “misdirected” following his eviction. Chen Moonves also pointed towards advice he had previously received.
Taylor had criticized Chuk’s gameplay during her goodbye message. She said explaining strategy to him felt like “Big Brother for dummies.” Taylor also claimed Chuk refused to listen to advice from others.
Chen Moonves agreed that Chuk struggles with self-awareness. She described him as a nice person with “a healthy ego.” However, she said he took things too personally inside the house.
“He didn’t show me enough self-awareness about his lack of Big Brother knowledge,” she explained. Chen Moonves described him as “just a little naïve.” She suggested listening to Taylor might have changed his outcome.
The host also discussed Angela’s confrontation with Haley. Chen Moonves said Haley was “behind Angela” during the explosive exchange. She believed Angela’s conscience pushed her to admit what happened.
However, Chen Moonves criticized Haley’s response to Angela. She said Haley lied and then “threw Angela under the bus as revenge.” Chen Moonves described Haley as “cold and unforgiving.”
Chen Moonves also weighed in on Barrett’s loyalty to Dee. She questioned whether his allegiance could hurt his own game. She predicted Dee would likely use him as a loyal informant.
The “Big Brother” host said Dee had not shown equal loyalty toward Barrett. She noted that he remained a useful number for Dee’s agenda. However, she said his position could eventually become risky.
