Big Brother Season 28 is almost upon us, and fans have been told to expect the unexpected. Among new live experiences, the show is also blurring the lines between the biggest reality competition shows today. Apparently, a crossover is incoming, and the CBS show has recruited some Survivor talent, with at least one castaway entering the famous Big Brother house.
BB28 made offers to “multiple Survivor contestants,” according to a source
Big Brother has already been teasing fans with new twists to the classic format. They’ve hinted that fans will see former housemates from different eras return, alongside new live experiences for viewers. It’s going to be much more interactive for fans.
And now, it looks like there’s going to be a reality TV crossover added to the mix! The Sun reported that Big Brother has recruited some castaways to join in the fun for its milestone season. Look out, housemates, because these contestants definitely know how to (pun intended) survive!
It’s been revealed that “an offer was made to multiple Survivor contestants, and one Survivor alum, if not more,” a source shared. Apparently, two of the top names in talks with producers include Tyson Apostol and Dee Valladares.
Tyson, a popular Survivor villain and fan favorite, previously appeared in Survivor: Tocantins in 2009, Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, and Survivor: Blood vs. Water (which he won), and most recently the all-winners Survivor: Winners at War.
Dee, on the other hand, was the winner of Survivor 45 in 2023. Her popularity earned her a spot in the coveted Survivor 50, but she didn’t take home the big prize.
While it’s exciting to see these talented competitors join BB28, it’s not the first time a crossover has happened. Previously, Cirie Fields competed in Big Brother 25 along with her son Jared Fields. She finished fifth.
It certainly looks like an exciting season up ahead!
Big Brother 28 premieres on July 9 at 8 PM ET/PT on CBS.
