Polizzi, 38, shared the recovery photos on Instagram Sunday, Aug. 16. One image featured her holding her 7-year-old son, Angelo, in her hospital bed. She also shares Lorenzo and Giovanna with her husband, Jionni LaValle. Other pictures included her with her dog, Rocky, and her parents, Helen and Andrew Polizzi.
Snooki also shared a crocheted pink uterus between a pair of socks. The cheeky message on them read, “I’ve got 99 problems, but a uterus ain’t one.” She has been open about the pain and gradual process of healing. The recovery period from a hysterectomy is typically four to six weeks, according to Cleveland Clinic.
Snooki recently shared that she expects recovery to take the full six weeks. While walking Rocky, she called herself “a hot mess.” She also shared with her followers that walking has become easier, but she must know her limits. “Night time is still the worse with pain and being able to sleep,” she wrote.
Snooki first revealed her cancer scare in January when cancer cells were discovered in her cervix. She announced her diagnosis the next month and admitted it was a frightening experience. “It’s a scary thing and a lot of us women deal with it,” she said in an Instagram video. She later encouraged women to get their Pap smears and said she hoped to remain cancer-free.
