It all started when the 51-year-old actress shared an Instagram post on Monday introducing her self-published memoir, which Shanna Moakler titled Blink of an Eye.
It is worth noting that her ex-husband, Travis Barker, rose to major fame as the drummer of Blink-182. Because of this connection, the memoir’s title quickly sparked buzz, with many viewing it as a possible jab from the former Miss New York winner.
Shanna wrote, “Life can change, in the “Blink of an Eye.” Hopefully my reality, reinvention and surviving some rough waters can make your journey a little easier…”
“From a small child with big dreams, to co-parenting my children in today’s celeb obsessed climate… I’m self-publishing my memoir, my way. And hopefully the lessons I’ve learned will help light the way!.” She added.
While the opening lines of Shanna Moakler’s post seemed to offer some clarity and suggested that she could be taking a dig at her ex-husband Travis Barker, she made it clear in the following lines that the memoir is not about any one person or a single incident.
She went on to explain that this is a story she wants to share with all moms and girls everywhere, offering them insight and support through her own experiences.
As for Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler’s relationship timeline, the former couple began dating in 2002 and had a gothic-themed wedding in 2004. Unfortunately, their highly publicized marriage ended with a divorce filing in 2006 and was officially finalized in 2008.
