DWTS’ Julianne Hough Reacts After Ex Marries New Bride Near Their Old Wedding Venue

Julianne Hough had nothing but kind words after ex-husband Brooks Laich married Katrín Davíðsdóttir in Idaho. The former NHL player returned to the same lakeside area where he and Hough celebrated their own wedding years earlier. However, Hough did not dwell on the familiar setting. Instead, the Dancing with the Stars co-host focused on wishing the newlyweds well.

Julianne Hough sent warm wishes to Brooks Laich following his wedding announcement

Brooks Laich married Davíðsdóttir on Aug. 15 at the couple’s home near Lake Coeur d’Alene. After wedding photos appeared on Instagram, Hough joined the congratulations in the comments.

“Congratulations!!! So so happy for you both!” Hough wrote. She also wished the couple love, health and happiness as they begin married life with their daughter, Emberly.

Meanwhile, Laich and Davíðsdóttir told People that their three-day celebration included about 110 guests. Their daughter and dog, Koda, also took part in the ceremony.

The Idaho setting carries some history for Laich. He and Hough married near Lake Coeur d’Alene in 2017 before separating in 2020. They ultimately finalized their divorce in 2022.

Still, the two have shown little public hostility in recent years. Hough previously reflected warmly on their marriage, calling Laich an important person in her life despite their split.

She also supported his relationship with Davíðsdóttir before the wedding. Hough congratulated the couple on their engagement in 2024 and later celebrated their pregnancy news.

So, as Julianne Hough reacts to Brooks Laich’s wedding, her latest message fits a pattern. Rather than revisit their divorce, she offered another public show of support for her ex and his growing family.

For now, Hough seems genuinely happy to see Laich enter his next chapter.
