Royal commentator claims Princess Diana book will have palace fearing it will ‘reopen old wounds’

A new book by Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, will reportedly have the palace fearing it will “reopen old wounds.” The title of the book is “Swan Song: Diana, My Sister.” This particular claim recently came from royal commentator and expert Richard Palmer. While speaking to GB News, the expert talked about the upcoming memoir by Earl Spencer about his late sister. On August 31, 1997, Princess Diana sadly lost her life in a fatal car accident in Paris.

In the meantime, during the interview with GB News, Richard Palmer said, “I think there’ll be a fair amount of concern inside the palace about this.” The royal commentator and expert continued, “I think, first of all, there’ll be a lot of interest in the book from the public.” The expert then explained, “There isn’t a frenzied interest in Diana that there was, say, 20 years ago.” However, after that, the expert claimed, “There will be a lot of interest” in what Charles Spencer “has to say” about his late sister.

Meanwhile, Richard Palmer further said during the interview, “I think it’s fair enough” for Charles Spencer “as a brother to be able to tell” the story of the late Princess Diana. The royal expert continued, “I think that the palace will be worried that it will reopen old wounds.” The royal commentator and expert then explained, “And remind people of the War of the Waleses.” “And everything that went on in that period,” the expert also added.
