Reba McEntire has shared new details about her wedding plans with fiancé Rex Linn, including concerns about which of their celebrity friends to ask to perform during the celebration.
The couple has not set a wedding date. McEntire said their plans keep getting delayed when Linn lands acting work or when their schedules include another season of their television series.
Reba McEntire worried excluding celebrity friends from singing would cause hurt feelings
McEntire said the couple has so many well-known friends that choosing someone to perform at the wedding could create a problem. She explained that asking one person to sing while leaving others out could result in hurt feelings, leaving her unsure how they will handle the music.
The pair still have not chosen a wedding date. McEntire said work commitments keep delaying their plans. She specifically mentioned Linn landing acting jobs and the possibility of a third season of Happy’s Place, which stars both of them.
McEntire said they want an unusual ceremony and plan to include their animals. Their household includes longhorn steers, donkeys, horses, dogs and cats.
She also considered arriving at the ceremony on horseback. McEntire mentioned her horse, Gator, and said he would enjoy it.
The singer also plans to include her granddogs, Watson and Belle. She said they could serve as ring bearers. Her son, Shelby Blackstock, and his wife, Marissa Blackstock, own the dogs.
McEntire has been married twice and has a son from her second marriage. In an earlier interview, she spoke about her relationship with Linn, saying, “I think I’m happier now than I’ve ever been in my life.”
