Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might reportedly encounter a Fab Four issue upon their UK return. The term described Prince William, Kate Middleton and the Sussexes, who often appeared together in 2018-2019. The news, however, comes at a time when Fab Four has taken on a new meaning in the royal family.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s return to the UK will reportedly only work if the ‘Fab Four’ approves
A commentator believes that Meghan Markle may struggle to re-enter the Royal Family without winning over four key women first. They stated that since the Duchess left the UK, the family’s popularity has grown, with four women now at its heart.
After their high-profile exit in 2020 to settle in Montecito, California, the Sussexes have done several revealing interviews. These include a Netflix series and a sit-down with Oprah Winfrey, where they shared private details about life in the Royal Family.
However, Daily Mail columnist Sarah Vine pointed out that while the couple has been “throwing tantrums, alliances have formed in support of one another, and new players have come to the fore”.
She added, “In particular, the royal women have, each in their own way, stepped up to the plate and really established themselves as forces in their own right.”
The journalist explained that Queen Camilla, Princess Catherine, Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, and the ever-reliable Princess Anne “now represent a formidable quartet of soft power, one which is aligned in its unfailing loyalty to the King and the legacy of the Crown.”
Referring to them as the “Fab Four,” Vine suggested that these women hold the key to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle finding their way back into royal life. She noted that without their backing, “there can be no real prospect of a return to the fold,” per the Daily Express.
Vine further emphasized, “That is not to say it cannot happen; but if the Sussexes attempt to hurt or undermine the Royal Family, or pull a fast one as they have done in the past, they will have these four queens to answer to.”
