Love Is Blind UK Star Yasmin Reveals Vitiligo Fear She Faced in the Pods

Yasmin Toseafa, a Love Is Blind UK Season 3 star and model, faced one of her biggest fears while looking for love on the Netflix reality show. Although she had spent years learning to embrace her vitiligo, she still worried about revealing the condition to her dates. Eventually, she decided to open up to Jordan, and his response brought them closer in the show.

Yasmin Toseafa admitted she actively debated hiding her true appearance from Jordan in Love Is Blind UK

Yasmin was diagnosed with vitiligo when she was eight years old. It is a skin condition that causes patches of skin to lose pigment. For years, she used makeup to hide it because she was worried about how people would react, she told Metro.

Her outlook changed after seeing supermodel Winnie Harlow, who also has vitiligo, become a major name in fashion. Yasmin eventually posted a photo of herself without makeup and received a positive response. Since then, she has appeared in Vogue, become the first Miss Universe GB finalist with vitiligo and continued working as a model.

However, her old fear came back after joining Love Is Blind: UK. Yasmin said she went back and forth over whether she should tell her dates about her condition. “I was very back and forth about whether or not I was going to share it,” she said. At first, she even told her friends that she would not mention it on the show. However, she later realized that vitiligo was such an important part of her life that she could not fully open up to someone without talking about it.

After discussing her achievements with another contestant, Hannah, Yasmin decided it was time to tell one of the men. Jordan happened to be her first date that day.

Yasmin became emotional while telling him about her childhood and her experience with vitiligo. However, Jordan’s response made her feel accepted and brought them closer. She said, “The first time telling someone was so emotionally charged.” She continued, “But Jordan’s response was perfect, and I feel like it brought us closer.”

Although their connection was strong, the relationship eventually ended. Jordan said he had not felt the spark he needed, and they agreed not to move forward with their wedding.

Looking back, Yasmin said the experience taught her what she wants from a future partner. She no longer wants to feel unsure about whether someone cares for her.
