Rachel Reilly is putting her Big Brother loyalty aside for two players from a rival reality franchise. The former winner wants Survivor veterans Dee Valladares and Rick Devens to make a serious impact on Season 28. Her support comes as the CBS competition celebrates its 1,000th episode. However, two fellow Big Brother veterans are less eager to watch the crossover players take control.
Rachel Reilly is backing Dee Valladares and Rick Devens to dominate Big Brother 28
In an exclusive interview with Page Six, Reilly said she wants Dee Valladares and Rick Devens to “steamroll” Big Brother 28.
Reilly believes strong performances from the Survivor veterans could make future crossover seasons more competitive. She also praised their ability to use information that newer houseguests shared with the veteran-heavy Icons alliance.
“You have to give it to the gamer,” Reilly said.
Both players entered the house with strong Survivor résumés. Dee won Survivor 45 after a dominant strategic game. She later returned for Season 50.
Rick competed on Survivor: Edge of Extinction before returning for the franchise’s 50th season. His move to Big Brother also made him part of a notable CBS crossover.
In fact, Rick’s Big Brother 28 casting was confirmed before the season premiered. Dee later joined him as another Survivor veteran inside the house.
Rick’s gameplay has since drawn plenty of attention. His wife, Becca Devens, recently addressed the criticism and online trolling surrounding his run.
Still, Britney Haynes and Danielle Reyes do not share Reilly’s enthusiasm. Reyes said she wants the Survivor players to compete well without taking over what she considers Big Brother territory.
Haynes also noted that Dee could become the first contestant to win both franchises. She would rather see a Big Brother player claim that distinction first.
For Rachel Reilly, however, the crossover only makes the game more interesting. She believes strong veteran players can push everyone else to compete harder.
