Jen Shah has officially completed her federal sentence for conviction in a nationwide telemarketing fraud case. The “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star finished her sentence on Friday. Now she says she feels ready to move on with her life. Shah also indicated that fans are yet to know the complete narrative of her tough years.

Shah spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about finishing her sentence and reflecting on her past. “Today marks the official completion of my sentence and the closing of a chapter that changed my life and my family forever,” she said. She said she takes responsibility for her decisions and has a better understanding of her past. Shah also said that she knows about the people that she trusted and the warning signs that she failed to see.
Shah pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud in July 2022. She was sentenced to six and a half years in prison in January 2023, but her term was reduced later. She left prison in December and moved to home confinement before completing her sentence. Her case appeared during seasons two and three of “RHOSLC.”
Shah said moving forward does not mean forgetting those who were hurt by the fraud scheme. She feels thankful for her family’s support and wishes to be able to have “my voice back” after losing so many years of control of her story. She also wishes to work, make, laugh and build things that she can be proud of. “Today, I feel blessed. I feel free. And I’m excited to see what happens next,” she said.
Jen Shah also celebrated her 32nd wedding anniversary with her husband, Sharrieff “Coach” Shah, after spending years away from her family. She said being home with her husband and sons means more to her now than ever. In April, Shah spoke with PEOPLE about prison and said she felt “deeply remorseful and sorry” for her actions. She also discussed meeting Ghislaine Maxwell and becoming friends with Elizabeth Holmes while serving time at a Texas federal prison camp.
