The 55-year-old’s comment that she has not seen Candiace since she was “fired” from the show has sparked curiosity among fans. People reported on Candiace’s exit from RHOP in March 2024. As per a source, she made the decision to leave the franchise herself. The 39-year-old told the outlet that she cherished the six remarkable years she spent on The Real Housewives of Potomac. She credited the show with bringing meaningful friendships, personal growth, and moments of introspection into her life. With several new opportunities and responsibilities ahead, she decided to take a break from RHOP.
Candiace is among the few Housewives who tied the knot on camera. Her 2018 wedding to Chris Bassett was featured in Season 4. During an appearance on the Healed Girl Era podcast, she admitted that her pregnancy was a key factor in her decision to walk away from the series. She said, as Reality Tea reported, “When I found out I was pregnant, there wasn’t even a thought in my mind. It was like, ‘Well, we’re gonna step away.'”
The conflicting claims have left fans questioning what really happened. One wrote, “So Candiace did get fired?? I thought y’all said she left on her own.” Another confused fan commented, “Why did she get fired? I thought she didn’t come back cause she decided to spend her pregnancy in peace.
