Seth Marks has been making headlines because of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, and recently, his son Brooks Marks has also been in the news over his fashion collection. An Instagram user recently roasted him through a video, which sparked a wave of comments. Amid the reactions, the executive vice president himself came to his son’s defense.
Meredith and Seth Marks responded after critics took aim at Brooks Marks’ clothing collection
Instagram user Justin Cone said in a video that Brooks Marks’ August 27 collection was very bad. He also claimed that Meredith Marks had “thugged” her own son, Brooks Marks.
As fans continued trolling Brooks Marks following the video, his father, Seth Marks, and mother, Meredith Marks, stepped into the comment section to defend their son.
Father Seth wrote, “I’m a little behind on the [Next Gen NYC] episodes (planning to binge them) but I’m not sure they captured the patented material he created, so let me say it properly … This tracksuit is made from TerryLite™, a proprietary fabric Brooks Marks developed. It’s lighter, stretchier, more breathable, and way more elevated than your average terry cloth. The detail is subtle, but it is there, and it makes the whole thing feel different.”
Seth also tagged his wife, Meredith Marks, in a comment. He said he was “super proud of him” for developing protectable intellectual property.
Later, Meredith commented, “Well I am sure you are a super interesting person since your claim to fame is ‘blocked by Paige DeSorbo. From what I can see you don’t really look like as fashion icon yourself while judging Brooks’ collection but [Paige DeSorbo] actually is one.”
For context, Seth and Meredith Marks’ son, Brooks Marks, has worked on his eponymous fashion line since 2018. He launched his first tracksuit collection in 2019.
The Bravo reality star priced her comfortable clothing pieces between $68 and $92. He is also selling a matching sweat tote bag for $46. A complete set featuring all four colors from the collection is available for $1,398.
