Sandra Bullock’s two children, 16-year-old son Louis and 12-year-old daughter Laila, are part of “Practical Magic 2.” During a conversation with Lauren Herbert of Access Hollywood, the actress revealed that while they do appear in the movie, fans may not spot them easily.
“They’re in the movie but not in an obvious way to you,” Bullock mentioned. She added that she cannot wait to show her children where they appear because even Louis and Laila do not know exactly where their scenes are. “They don’t know where it is,” Bullock said, adding another fun element to their movie debut.
Herbert then said that Bullock is probably a “proud mama,” which prompted the actress to talk more about how important the experience was to her. “Unbelievably proud. Unbelievably proud,” the Oscar winner said. Bullock also opened up about how her children influence her, saying, “Something happens when you have kids where you stop being the influence on them, and they become the influence on you.”
The mother of two described Louis as her “steadfast moral barometer” and said she often asks herself, “What would Louis do?” And when thinking about situations and “thinking forward,” it’s Laila. Bullock also noted that her two children are very “different,” but together they give her “two halves of a whole.”
Bullock returns as Sally Owens in “Practical Magic 2,” opposite Nicole Kidman, who plays Gillian Owens. In this sequel, the tale of the Owens sisters unfolds almost three decades after the original movie’s 1998 release.
