Gleb Savchenko Reacts to DWTS Snub as Messy Legal Battle Rages On

Gleb Savchenko addressed his absence from the Dancing with the Stars Season 35 cast. The professional dancer assured fans he was doing well despite the snub. Savchenko also revealed he was focused on his next chapter. His update came amid his ongoing legal battle and custody dispute.

Gleb Savchenko is looking ahead after being left off the Dancing With the Stars Season 35 cast.

Savchenko reacted after the Season 35 cast announcement on September 2. He shared a message with fans through Instagram following the reveal. The dancer appeared determined to remain positive about his unexpected absence.

“Guys, I promise… I’m good ?❤️,” Savchenko wrote. He expressed gratitude for his years inside the DWTS ballroom. The professional also wished the returning cast members well.

“Nothing but love and gratitude for all the years in that ballroom,” he continued. Savchenko said he was “excited for this next chapter.” He also wished everyone “an amazing season ?.”

Savchenko later addressed fans who continued sending sympathetic messages. He filmed a shirtless video while relaxing beside a pool. The dancer showed off his six-pack while reassuring viewers again.

“No sad messages. We’re moving forward ?,” Savchenko said. He added, “Guys, we can stop telling me you’re sorry. I’m good.” His comments suggested he was not dwelling on the casting decision.

Earlier that day, ABC announced its Season 35 cast on Good Morning America. Several familiar professionals received new celebrity partners. Alan Bersten, Val Chmerkovskiy and Pasha Pashkov were among them.

Savchenko was noticeably absent from the lineup. Producers have previously rotated professional dancers between seasons. His most recent main-season appearance came during Season 34.

He said the project was a “really cool blockbuster” and a “dream come true.” Savchenko appeared eager to build a new career chapter outside DWTS. His latest message suggests that focus will continue.

Meanwhile, Savchenko has faced a highly publicised legal and custody battle. Despite those ongoing challenges, he appeared determined to maintain a positive outlook.

Dancing With the Stars Season 35 premieres September 15 and 16. The two-night premiere will air on ABC and Disney+.
