A devastating Survivor Greece accident has now moved into the courtroom months after it changed Stavros Floros’ life. The former contestant is seeking more than $100 million as he challenges the safety measures surrounding the production.

Stavros Floros has filed a reality TV lawsuit against producers of Survivor Greece, seeking more than $100 million in damages. According to TMZ, the filing stems from his May 11 boating accident in the Dominican Republic.
Floros was spearfishing when a tourist boat’s propeller struck him. The new complaint says the Stavros Floros leg injury severed his left leg above the knee. He also suffered serious injuries to his other leg.
Earlier reports had described the injury as a partial amputation. At the time, the production company said the accident happened outside the competition itself. AcunMedya’s statement also said local authorities had started investigating the circumstances.
The filming accident quickly halted the season. The incident and its immediate aftermath were also detailed in earlier coverage after broadcasts stopped.
Now, Floros argues that producers failed to provide adequate safeguards. TMZ reports that the lawsuit cites the lack of safety boats, protected swimming zones and sufficient warning markers. Floros also claims tourist boats frequently traveled through the surrounding waters.
Moreover, the complaint says a stranger aboard the tourist boat applied a tourniquet that helped save his life. Floros later spent 61 days hospitalized in Miami and underwent several surgeries.
The accident ultimately ended the season early. SKAI later awarded Floros the €250,000 grand prize as producers brought the competition to a premature close. SKAI’s announcement confirmed the decision.
Meanwhile, Floros has continued his rehabilitation. In July, he shared updates showing his progress after returning to Greece.
For now, the $100 million case remains an allegation, not a finding of liability.
