Keith Urban Sings During First Award Show Appearance Amid Split

Keith Urban recently made his first award show appearance at the CMAs since his split from Nicole Kidman earlier this year. The singer joined Lainey Wilson on stage for a memorable performance and helped her conclude her medley.

Keith Urban attended the 59th Annual CMA Awards on Wednesday, November 19. Urban took the stage with host Lainey Wilson to perform his 1999 song “Where the Blacktop Ends.”

The performance was a part of a spectacular opening intro by Wilson, where she sang a medley of iconic country hits by popular artists, including Miranda Lambert, Lady A, Shaboozey, and Little Big Town. The segment ended with Urban surprising Wilson on stage and the duo delivering one final performance before kicking off the award ceremony.

Urban rocked up on the CMAs stage wearing a black graphic T-shirt that showed his arm tattoos. The singer had his guitar strapped over his shoulder as he joined Wilson for their duet. Other notable performances of the night came from Luke Combs, Ella Langley, Kelsea Ballerini, Chris Stapleton, and many more.

Urban also recently performed at the private party of Australian billionaire Anthony Pratt on November 15, which took place at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate. A video captured by a fan shows the country music star singing Bob Marley’s “Is This Love” and Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club” at the party.

Urban’s CMA appearance comes two months after the news of his separation from Nicole Kidman broke. On September 29, People confirmed that the pair had called it quits this summer after 19 years of marriage. Kidman filed for divorce the next day, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the separation.

Kidman and Urban tied the knot in June 2006, a year after they met at an LA event. The former couple welcomed their first daughter, Sunday Rose, in 2008. Two years later, their second daughter, Faith Margaret, was born via surrogacy.
