Speaking exclusively to Us Weekly, a source claimed that Hugh Jackman and his ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, are reconnecting after months since their divorce was finalized. “They have been slowly rebuilding communication the last couple of months,” the insider shared. “It was so difficult when they were dealing with business stuff. It was tense. Now it has shifted toward more emotional closure.”
A source said that Jackman and Furness have met several times in recent weeks to discuss unresolved issues that lingered after their separation. “The groundwork began after they wrapped legal filings, and that was helpful so they could have a meaningful dialogue to figure out a way to move forward,” the source explained. Moreover, “the recent progress is the most substantial in a positive direction since the split.”
Multiple sources reported that Jackman began dating his “The Music Man” co-star Sutton Foster while still married. When Furness filed for divorce in May, she issued a statement describing the separation as a “traumatic journey of betrayal.” An insider later confirmed her words were aimed at Jackman’s alleged affair. “The situation was hard for both of them,” one insider said. “Lawyers were telling them not to speak, so there was distance. [Furness] really wanted clarity and accountability, and it wasn’t about the money.”
