Ariana Grande’s Sheer Dress Is a Wardrobe Mishap Waiting To Happen

Ariana Grande’s sheer dress from her recent appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” has caught everyone’s attention. She looked gorgeous in the see-through outfit, completely opposite of her character, Glinda, in her upcoming movie, “Wicked: For Good.” However, the green and black hues of the ensemble did resemble her co-star Cynthia Erivo’s character, Elphaba. The singer’s dress was at the mercy of just two strings, but the look was absolutely stunning on her.

Ariana Grande recently appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in a sheer vintage dress. Going by the theme of her movie, “Wicked: For Good,” the outfit was a sweet shoutout to Elphaba. It consisted of a see-through bodice held up by just two strings, designed in spaghetti style. With a slightly deep V neck, it featured thin pleats that highlighted her features elegantly.

Furthermore, the sheer skirt had a flowy appearance, sticking with her good fairy theme. Green emerald detailing over the same added some shine and sparkle to the dress. Additionally, a shawl of the same tulle-like fabric was loosely wrapped around her neck and shoulder.

Grande opted for minimal jewelry, opting for a pair of diamond studs, and finished the look with shiny rose-tinted lips. Her eye makeup added depth to her features, while the sleek bun complemented her overall look. According to WWD, the stunning apparel came from a vintage boutique and archive, Amarcord Vintage Fashion, in New York City. Stylist Law Roach put together Grande’s look for the talk show.

Meanwhile, the Instagram page of “The Tonight Show” shared a video from the episode featuring her. It featured the pop star, without the sheer shawl, singing her heart out with the host. They crooned Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s “Shallow” and Bruno Mars and Rosé’s “APT.” Aside from the fun elements, the 32-year-old also talked about her new movie, which is set to release on November 21, 2025.
