Khloé Kardashian revealed a distressing moment in her life when her personal journals were thrown into a fire by an ex. On her podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land, released on Wednesday, November 19, the reality TV star was asked in an AMA episode about whether she journals. While the 41-year-old socialite was excited to share her history with the hobby, she explained why she doesn’t do it anymore.
Khloe Kardashians says she doesn’t journal anymore
In the middle of the podcast, Khloé Kardashian recounted a painful memory when her ex-husband, Lamar Odom, had read through her journals — something he knew that she kept — during a time when he was “incredibly paranoid.”
“[Lamar] was reading them and just was convinced that I was taking notes and sending them to the government or something crazy,” she said. “And he threw all of them into a fire in front of me.”
“I remember sobbing, tears streaming down my face,” she continued, recalling how shocked she was. “I was on my knees screaming. It was years of my life in these journals, they meant so much to me.”
While she believes that journaling is “therapeutic,” she confessed that she doesn’t do it anymore given how fragile journals can be.
“[They] were taken away in a f***ing blink, and what was the point?” the reality star said. “I do hate that I don’t do it anymore, but I also think there’s a piece of me that doesn’t want to ever risk that that could happen again.”
Though Khloé doesn’t describe what happened as “traumatic,” she said, “I just don’t wanna open that up again.”
Khloé Kardashian got married to the former NBA player in 2009 before separating in 2013 and divorcing in 2016. Earlier this year, the star revealed a time when she caught Lamar cheating and left the confrontation with bloody knuckles.
