Following reports that Vice President JD Vance’s wife Usha was spotted without her wedding ring, whispers of the D-word are floating around DC.
After video of his awkward and possibly inappropriate hug with Erika Kirk went viral, reports are that Usha isn’t happy. It seems that JD may have been a little too friendly with Charlie Kirk’s widow at a Turning Point USA event on October 29.
If the rumors are true, JD may just have to find himself another dance partner when that massive White House ballroom is finished.

On November 19, Usha accompanied First Lady Melania Trump to a military training facility in Jacksonville, NC. While at Camp Lejeune, photos revealed that Second Lady Usha was not wearing her wedding ring. Did she just forget to put it on? Or, as some White House watchers are saying, could this be a sign of trouble in paradise?
But her publicist was quick to put the divorce rumors to rest. “[Usha’s] a mother of three young children, who does a lot of dishes, gives lots of baths, and forgets her ring sometimes,” her spokesperson said in her defense.
The couple were married in 2014. But at an event following the death of right-wing political activist Charlie Kirk, JD’s handsy hug with his widow raised some eyebrows.
“No one will ever replace my husband,” Erika said, introducing the Veep. “But I do see some similarities of my husband in JD — in Vice President JD Vance. I do. And that’s why I am so blessed to be able to introduce him tonight,” she shared.
When he walked on-stage, the pair embraced, Erika placing her hand on the back of his head. He also placed his hands on her waist at one point. Unfortunately, the hug fueled “romance” rumors.
In an interview with Radar Online, body language expert Traci Brown said that the hug indicates a “super close” relationship. “Or she wants to be super close. And he’s not saying no, right?”
Not only did Traci believe the hug was inappropriate, but it revealed a “general lack of boundaries.”
