Notably, the piece marks the end of the legendary designer’s era at his own fashion house. Roach revealed that the look required special permission from Givenchy’s archives. He publicly thanked the team, including designer Sarah Burton, for facilitating the rare pull.
Ariana Grande’s Givenchy dress itself is a confection of craftsmanship. It is a pale pink, floor-sweeping piece covered in raised rosette-like appliqués that catch the light with a soft, liquid sheen.
