Tara Reid may be taking legal action following a frightening incident this past weekend. She filed a police report this week claiming to have been drugged at a hotel bar near the Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
According to the American Pie actress, she met someone in the hotel bar who claimed to be a successful influencer. When she returned from having a cigarette, she says a napkin was on her glass that hadn’t been there before. After the drink, she passed out and had to be rushed to the hospital. “I am willing to prosecute,” Tara says about the incident. She thinks that someone spiked her drink.

Days after going to the hospital, Tara is recalling her version of events as she remembers. In a police report statement obtained by Page Six, she says, “The guy I had the cigarette with texted me the videos of me the next day.” For her, this may have been a form of blackmail that he could make the video go away, possibly for a price. She says the person alleged via text that Tara called security on him. The actress adds that he told her she’d only had one drink at the bar.
Representatives for Tara say she believes someone tampered with her drink. They add that she’s recovering from the traumatic experience. The theory of a drugging is one Tara claims hospital staff threw out. As a result she did not get a blood alcohol test. Tara doesn’t know what drug may have been in her system at the time.
Tara had gone to Chicago for a celebrity signing. She claims there were plenty of YouTubers in the lobby when she went down for a drink. Tara calls the incident suspicious. The actress adds that she didn’t know what was happening for a while after having her drink.
