There’s a new look to the Princess of Wales. Kate Middleton had a new hairdo this week during an appearance in support of mental health. That’s a cause she has worked tirelessly for over the years.
On Thursday, she was spotted in North London visiting the Anna Freud Centre. She was pushing the message that what happens in the first few years of a child’s life has a profound influence on their lives. The mother of three was described as natural and down-to-earth during the visit, and her hairstyle also caught people’s eyes.
Kate Middleton has had new blonde highlights

The Princess showed off the new look in her visit to the Anna Freud Centre. Her blonde highlights are getting rave reviews. Some remarked that it appears a little lighter than originally. During the visit, Kate wore a blue houndstooth dress with belt and collar embellishments. That complemented her small brown handbag and silver heels. Her hair was previously brown. The initiative at Anna Freud has long been something the wife of Prince William has advocated for. She first visited the facility in September 2015.
She penned an emotional open letter in mid-November to the Maternal Mental Health Alliance (MMHA). She’s been a patron of theirs since 2022. The charity helps raise awareness of mental health for expectant mothers.
Last year, she announced that she’d been diagnosed with cancer. Thankfully, that cancer is currently in remission as of January, with Kate happy to be back making public appearances. On November 19, she delivered a powerful speech at the Future Workforce Summit discussing the importance of nurturing relationships to create meaningful relationships around a child.
For her part, Kate attributes the lighter appearance of her hair to spending more time in the sun.
