From the outside, it appears as though things between the US Vice President and his wife aren’t quite so rosy. JD Vance and Usha have been married for over a decade and have three kids.
The Second Lady captured many people’s attention recently after a distinctive piece of jewellery went missing. That has many believing there isn’t much harmony in the Vance household at the moment. When her husband and Donald Trump won the 2024 US Presidential election, Usha became the first Indian American to serve as Second Lady.
Usha Vance was spotted without her wedding ring once again
Speculation of an impending separation or divorce between JD and Usha stems from some photos captured last month. On November 19th, the Second Lady visited Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. The publication OK! noticed that Usha wasn’t wearing her wedding ring.
That set off all sorts of alarm bells about where things stand between her and her husband. Usha spoke alongside First Lady Melania Trump to military wives while helping assemble care packages for their husbands stationed abroad.
Despite what everyone saw, a spokesperson for the couple said that we shouldn’t read anything into Usha’s missing ring. They say that she “does a lot of dishes, gives lots of baths, and forgets her ring sometimes.” JD and Usha first met while attending Yale Law School.
A viral video between the Vice President and Erika Kirk, the widow of political activist Charlie Kirk generated more speculation of a potential divorce between JD and Usha. Erika and the Vice President were seen embracing at a Turning Point USA event in late October. The hug for many was overly friendly.
Back in October, JD made headlines when he expressed his hope that his Hindu wife might one day convert to his Catholic faith.
